Drummer Mark Albosta and I have worked periodically for the past several years with New York pianist Jesse Lynch in a jazz trio (piano/bass/drums) setting. This group has developed a very sensitive improvisational approach to standard jazz pieces and infuses every performance with much free improvisation. Jesse has an amazing ability to effortlessly span both the classical and jazz realms, and currently lives and works with his east coast trio and others in New York city.
